“To help with my pain management, the doctor and nurses at Hospice made the suggestion that I stay at the In Patient Unit at Mont Cochon for a week, as a sort of reset. For me and for many people, when someone mentions going into Hospice, you just think of death. It was a really scary suggestion at first, but the nurses explained everything and I was able to have a look around the Unit before making any arrangements. As soon as I saw the Unit and the rooms, I thought yes, this is fine, I’m happy to come here. The team were really reassuring.
During my week at Hospice, I felt comforted knowing the doctors, nurses, health care assistants, and all the team were around to support me."
