Clinical Fellow/Staff Grade Doctor

HOURS: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (with 10 programmed activities per week),with an opportunity to join an out of hours telephone on-call service, covering weekends and Bank and Public Holidays

Would you like to join Jersey Hospice Care on a 12 month fixed term contract as a Clinical fellow/Staff Grade Doctor in Palliative Medicine.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow/Staff Grade Doctor interested in pursuing a career in palliative medicine or gaining valuable experience. As one of the Palliative Medicine clinical fellows/staff grade doctors you will be a core member of the team, gaining hands on experience with palliative medicine.

The role involves assessing and managing patients with various conditions and working alongside a full medical and nursing team. There is also potential to be involved in contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and pathways.

Key responsibilities include the assessment and management of patients and families presenting to the department. Participation in clinical audit and the development of clinical guidelines.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a motivated individual who has completed foundation training and is enthusiastic about advancing their experience within Palliative Medicine in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will start with us as soon as possible. The post is to work within Palliative Medicine. They will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (with 10 programmed activities per week), with an opportunity to participate in an out of hours telephone on call service covering weekends and Bank and Public Holidays.
