We rely on the support of the community to enable us to continue caring for patients and to support their families and loved ones. It costs £16,500 a day to run our services. Your support makes a huge difference.

On Saturday 20 January, Jersey Hospice Care will be hosting an open day to welcome anyone looking to start or progress in a nursing career specialising in palliative care.
But it’s not only for nurses and healthcare assistants. We also have a number of other important roles which help to keep our important services running, so would welcome anyone interested in working for Jersey Hospice Care who have skills in other areas to come along too.
On the day, you'll be able to meet members of the Hospice team over a cup of tea or coffee and cake to understand more about the outstanding care given to the local community and to find out more about what it's like to work at Jersey Hospice Care.
You'll be welcomed at the King’s Centre to meet colleagues from our People, Education and Clinical Teams who will be able to answer any questions. You'll also be given a tour of our facilities, so they can see for themselves, the lovely and caring environment that they could be working in.
Debbie Patrick, Director of People at Jersey Hospice Care said, “This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a career in palliative care to come and chat to us. Work at Jersey Hospice Care is extremely rewarding and purposeful no matter what your role, and we welcome anyone who has similar values to us to come and find out more.”
The open day starts at 10:00 on Saturday 20 January until 14:00 and anyone is welcome to pop into chat to members of our team about the roles that may interest them at any time during those hours.
Registration isn’t essential but it would help the Hospice team to manage numbers for the day and follow up with interested parties afterwards.
