Jersey Hospice Care was started by the community, for the community. To this day, the care provided continues to be possible thanks to the community that supports Hospice so generously each year.
We are here for anyone (and their loved ones) with a life-limiting condition, or who is approaching the end of life.
Jersey Hospice Care was started by the community, for the community. To this day, the care provided continues to be possible thanks to the community that supports Hospice so generously each year.
Our care is about so much more than the specialist palliative treatment of a person’s physical symptoms. It is a total philosophy of care; offering spiritual and emotional support that extends to family members and carers. For each person we are privileged to care for, we only get one chance at the end of life to get it right, and that is why we strive every day to go that extra mile for our patients and their families, to make extraordinary care our ‘ordinary’. Helping each person we care for get the best out of every day and to make each day count.
Jersey Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care to all those with a life-limiting condition. As a result, more than half of the patients we now care for do not have cancer.
Adult patients can come to Jersey Hospice Care for 24-hour care, seven days a week, on our 12 bed In Patient Unit at Clarkson House, or they can access care from their home or in the community (residential care settings or the hospital) with our Specialist Palliative Care Team. Every room on our In Patient Unit has stunning views over St Aubin’s Bay and the Unit provides a safe and welcoming environment for patients and the people close to them to spend quality time together. Our team of dedicated nurses are there to provide outstanding personalised care to meet the medical needs of patients and more.
As a local charity we can only do what we do because of the generous support we receive from the Jersey community. Whether that is volunteering, making a donation, attending an event, or shopping in our fundraising stores, every action makes a huge difference to the patients we care for.
Thank you for your support.
